Remedial massage therapy is a very therapeutic form of massage. When muscles are knotted, tense or damaged, remedial massage therapy offers a holistic method of healing using gentle, strong and deep or shallow movements. Remedial massage works to treat specific injuries or muscular dysfunction using a range of techniques to locate and repair the damaged muscle, joint, tendon or ligament. This in turn will work to rebalance the body and contribute to optimal health.
Remedial massage therapy will involve an assessment of the client in order to isolate the muscles that are functioning incorrectly and identify muscle and postural imbalances. A range of techniques and styles, such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy are used which focus on treating specific injuries and repairing damage.
A relaxation massage helps to de-stress and loosen up your body and is great for those who have had a hard-working week or feel like treating themselves to some TLC! The treatment consists of flowing strokes, kneading and gentle manipulations of the muscles performed at your chosen pressure. It is a pain-free way to relax both your muscles and your mind.
Relaxation massage centers on the relaxation of a client. It focuses mainly on giving the client quality time to recover from the daily stresses of everyday life. It is a treatment designed to relax and soothe you, but not to relieve chronic pain or other underlying conditions
Hot Stone Massage provides a deep feeling of relaxation by expanding blood vessels and encouraging blood flow through the body. It can provide relief from chronic pain and reduce the feeling of stress.
The heat from the stones helps the muscles to relax, allowing the therapist to manipulate deep tissues more effectively and with less pain. Although the massage is primarily for relaxation, the heated stones are beneficial in releasing tension and easing sore muscles. This feeling of relaxation also means the treatment is beneficial on both a physical and psychological level.
Cold stones may also be used on the face or after the hot stones have been applied. Cold temperature helps to calm swollen blood vessels and soothe hot skin.
The stones are smooth and flat and made of the volcanic rock type called basalt. These stones are chosen because they retain heat.
Functional Release Cupping combines contemporary research on fascia, the application of myofascial cupping, functional movement patterns and the anatomy trains concept to make dramatic changes in range of motion, functional capacity and pain.
Functional Release Cupping takes the traditional concept of myofascial cupping and incorporates an evidence-based approach to its application while ensuring the treatment is highly outcome-focused.
Functional release cupping is a relatively new concept that works on applying cups in relevant areas and then integrating dynamic, functional movement to affect a positive change in movement restrictions.
By doing this, Functional Release Cupping aims to :
• Restore healthy, functioning movement.
• Decrease areas of restriction causing pain.
• Achieve client specific functional goals and movement.
• Better facilitate the release of connective tissue by recruiting motor pathways.
• Provide a new input to the nervous system; changing dysfunction, deformations and pain.

Pregnancy massage is the prenatal use of massage therapy to support the physiologic, structural, and emotional well-being of both mother and fetus.
Massage in pregnancy can involve many different techniques. It is usually a lighter massage due to the tenderness of ligaments as well as the therapeutic benefits of this softer pressure.
Pregnancy Massage improves circulation and helps to decrease swelling and varicose veins. Regular massage improves posture, muscle tone and flexibility, training your body for labour.
Studies have shown that regular massage in pregnancy contributes to a shorter, less painful labour and can reduce labour complications.
